Chattisgarh, 8th July 2016: The National Skill Development Corporation- PMKVY campaign strives to train Indian youth in the industry specific skills with the help of training partners & centres. By developing skills, the campaign further aims to help the youth get employed. NSDC plays three major roles in the campaign which includes funding and incentivising, enabling support services and shaping/creating thereon. Undeniably, the campaign is playing a significant role in employing the youth but failed to provide placements as per the recent analyses.

According to reports, only 45% of the people who were trained in the Phase 1 of the PMKVY are placed till now. Mr Rachit Jain, Founder & CEO shared, “The major reason is the gaps in the Skilling — Assessing — Placement process. In order to overcome the hurdle, it’s requisite that firstly, the youth is given a platform to practice the skills. Secondly, the training centers must connect with recognised companies to be able to meet job opportunities for skilled people. We at Youth4work aim to serve not just the training centers but more importantly the students residing in rural areas as they often lack privileges.”

Online practice tests based on National Occupation Standards by Youth4work for 500+ job-roles certification assessments under 27 Sector Skill Councils endeavours to meet the needs of training partners. With 1.5 lakh practice question attempts made at the Youth4work platform, clearing the certifications has become an easy affair.

“The sole purpose is to help students residing in rural areas by empowering them with online tool that not only helps them to practice via web and smart phones, but also self analyse their skills through ‘yTest’ and showcase their skills to attract employers”, added Mr. Rachit Jain.

In order to prepare students for qualifying PMKVY certifications, 1500+ training centers are actively leveraging Youth4work, an online ‘People Platform’ which empowers youth to assess themselves, improve their talents and showcase themselves.
