SHE WAS RIGHT THIS TIME!

· Youth4work

Bangalore was the place where I was having my dinner with this beautiful Kolkata girl, Lina. You might be wondering the beauty of the name and it does mean ‘tender’ but let me tell you, she wasn’t gentle with me at all. This one sitting with me was different. She was not easy going and loved her surrounding the way she wanted. Usually her palm was on my hand whenever there was food in front of us, but it was different today. I started, “Lina! What is the matter with you today?” As usual, she replied “Nothing”.

It made me feel gloomy for the only reason that her palm was not on my hand. However soon she realized my dejection and acted upon it the same moment. We were normal for few moments and then she started, “I want to leave this job”. It came to me as a shock since I was seeing a future with her in the coming years and she had just shattered that all. I was pushing her to stay and therefore not ruin my dream but there was something cooking in her head.

She came to me the next day with all the research done and there was a name which she was trying to picture inside my head so that I look up for it and go the same way as she was. The name was “Youth4work”.

She described Youth4work as a ‘People Platform’ which empowers youth to assess themselves, improve their talents and showcase themselves for their talents and professional achievement. Did this introduction sound very generic to you? Maybe yes, because even I could not figure out any reason behind her leaving the job for Youth4work.

Then she explained to me that Youth4work was not the reason behind her leaving the job rather her disinterest towards work and inclination towards MBA was the reason of concern. Youth4work was just the bridge for her dreams. Journey through the bridge was so exciting that anyone would fall for it. Even I did.

One of the offering which I went for was Prep Tests. It was completely different as compared to the conventional tests that we all have given at some point of time. Prep Tests were ingeniously designed online mock tests and practice tests that help aspirants excel in the competitive examinations. She gave me a brief introduction about how it was different.

  • Prep Tests were for aspirants and people who wished to learn and hone various topics and subjects. Prep tests follow a testing pattern and algorithm unique to Youth4work. It is adaptive. It adapts from the users giving the tests and make it better every time you revisit.
  • These were user-modifiable mock tests — i.e. The aspirant could modify the number of questions in each section in the test. This allowed the aspirant to focus on weak areas by practicing more number of questions.
  • Aspirants also got insightful self-performance report at the end of each test session on — time, speed, accuracy details w.r.t. competition (other test-takers).
  • Aspirants could also revise all attempted questions for lifetime!
  • Aspirants could access these prep tests not only for MBA entrance exams but for a variety of other entrance exams, competitive exams and government jobs.

Even after all the accolades and positives she used on me, my odds did not turn up to even and she underwent the transformation. A complete year passed by and we reached a day when the CAT results were declared. She managed to convert a good college and I was doing the same tedious office work.

She manipulated me again and came up with some more offerings. She told me about the discount which was being offered for the same thing which helped her through her entrance exam and also an option for upgrade if I was not sure about the offering. Forums were an added advantage to clarify all the doubts and discuss about the problems faced during the prep tests.

This time I was convinced enough to enroll myself for the prep tests and therefore would suggest you all to give a thought about this. If you have experienced anything similar or have seen any of your friend facing the same, do let them know about the awesome platform of Youth4work so that you don’t waste a year or do some tedious manual work.
